Humans are always been so fascinated by mermaids especially children, maybe because of the mermaid tales, we have all been listening to since childhood. They are a lot of videos, films, and stories made over the mermaid's life. However, no one knows that how far those stories are related to reality. There are many incidents where people claimed to see a real mermaid and even some of them come with the evidence.
On January 9, 1493, While exploring the Caribbean, Christopher Columbus, sees three “mermaids”—in reality, and describes them as “not half as beautiful as they are painted". But, due to lack of evidence, this story gets lost in history as a hoax.
Danish National Museum in Copenhagen where the mermaid of Haraldskaer was first displayed, in 2012, Allegedly, this mermaid skeleton had been found at Haraldskaer in mainland Denmark by a farmer while plowing his field. This creature's upper body is humanoid and the lower looks exactly like a fish. After this discovery, a lot of scientists starts taking interest in mermaid.
Many scientists said mermaids are like other water creatures. Other than their humanoid appearance there nothing unique about them like human intelligence or understanding. On the other hand, some scientists believe that perhaps they are not as intelligent as humans but they surely have developed some intelligence that makes them differ from other sea creatures.
In 2016, a video surfaced on the internet; a mermaid strap into the stomach of a shark. it was found by a fisherman named paul jones who posted this picture on Facebook. The fisherman catches the shark as the delicacy of the area and started to process- the find this mermaid-like torso inside the shark stomach.
