Stephen Wiltshire - A autistic person with a mind of unrealistic memory and a heart full of art

Weak memory causes so many problems. We often struggle to find our socks every morning. But, Just imagine being able to remember everything you see. Stephen Wiltshire born on 24 April 1974 is an architectural artist and autistic savant who gained worldwide popularity because of his unrealistic memory and passion for sketching.




However, many of us dont know that due to autism Wiltshire couldn't speak a single word. communication with people was daunting for him. Thanks to his passion for sketching, He first started communicating with people through his sketches. And it is no surprise that his first word was "paper". with the support of teachers and aid he learned to speak properly at the age of nine.



In May 2005 Wiltshire created the longest ever panoramic memory drawing of the Tokyo skyline within seven days following 15 min helicopter ride memory. it was a 32.8-foot-long canvas. this canvas was such great art that goes viral.


after this biggest success, he continued to work even harder and started drawing as a full-time profession. he has created many sketches after that including sketches of Manhattan, the Hudson shoreline of New Jersey, and Brooklyn over five days at the Pratt Institute, a college of art and design in New York City.
