Man born with 3 legs and 2 genitals

Humans born with a unique body always makes us wonder. One such wonder was a person from Italy who had not two but three legs. It is surprising but it is true. Nature had produced a man in an unusual form and with that extraordinary form, he lived for 77 years.

Francesco 'Frank' Lentini was born on 18 May 1889 on the island of Sicily, Italy. He was number five among his 12 siblings. Frank and his family tried to remove his extra limbs, but the doctors clearly stated that if he removed his extra limbs, he could be paralyzed and he could be permanently bedridden. Because his third leg was just near his spine.

His fourth leg was coming out near the knee of his third leg. However, that leg was not fully developed. Lentini is said to have suffered from a type of disorder in which half a twin child was attached to his body. That 'half-twin' was associated with his spine.

When Frank was very young, his parents sent him to his uncle and aunt, where he was raised and his career started from there. Frank, 12, met the owner of the circus Vincenzo Magnano, who introduced him to the world of circus. Frank became the first choice of the audience. Despite having three legs he had great agility. He used to kick the football with his third leg, which people liked very much. At the same time, he was on the spot and won the hearts of the audience with his answers.

Many times Frank used his third leg as a stool and sat on it. Often people ask him- where does he buy a three-legged shoe for himself? Frank always replies that he buys two pairs of shoes and gives an extra shoe to his one-legged friend. Frank never took his unusual body shape as a hurdle, he dealt with every situation confidently with good humour.
