Autum Rats trial 1508: When rat used to have rights

In 1508, Autum, France rat population increased accessibly. Rats were popping up at supermarkets, parks, and possibly everywhere. People were often facing problems due to the utterly increasing Rat population.


In no time words passed out to the mayor of the 17th arrondissement in northwestern Paris. Rats were accused of destroying barley crops therefore they decided to cut down the rats population by poisoning them. A lot of animal rights activists came forward to speak on behalf of rats. They suggested a more humanitarian way of dealing with this problem: Deploy birth-control drugs.



Not long before, The world came out of pandemics which caused millions of death around the world. The stigma of that pandemic was on the rat's heads. A large number of the group was in support of getting rid of rats regardless of how cruel the process could be. On the other hand, Barthélemy de Chasseneuz (A French jurist) suggested finding a way to reduce the number of rats without killing them. majority of people agreed with this argument.


The news of the rat trial was spread all around, people started taking interest in it. At last, rats were acquitted without any charges.
